Something really unique? Or just a smarten up of your old bike? Your call. I'll happily do either for you. Cost of each spray job is going to be different. They’re all unique after all. Cost is based on an hourly rate, which is currently £60. This includes all materials exc. Chromacoats (see below). Some examples below to give you an idea of how much it will cost (prices updated July 2025)
This is for a frameset, in a single colour. Obviously this one isn’t a single colour, but it is a frameset.
Assumes that all components have been removed. If there's the odd bit you can't remove we can do that for you. May be an extra charge for this (see below).
All metal frames will be grit blasted, primed, base coated, and then lacquered, before polishing to give it a shine.
See below for info on carbon frame prep.
As for a frame set, but this is for the frame only i.e. no fork.
Same as the others, but just for a set of forks.
So if you need your bike dismantling and rebuilding after painting we can do that for you.
Cost varies depending on the setup of the bike, and it's condition. Generally looking at half an hour to an hour for dismantling. 2-3 hours for rebuilding. Internal cabling takes a bit longer. As does removing seized components. This is also the rate for any mechanical work.
Every frame is different. Some techniques are easier than others. Masking takes a long time. Spraying a fade less so. Tell us what you’re after and we’ll tell you how much time is involved.
Logos also done on an hourly rate. For info a single colour downtube and headbadge would be around £120. More time if we need to create an image to work from.
Chromacoat paint is colour changing depending on the angle you look at it. It is a bit more expensive, and needs to be applied over a basecoat, usually black. It’s amazing stuff though, and there are quite a few colour combinations available. It is a bit more expensive than standard paint though.
Grit blasting is included in the basic price for metal frames, but if you want just grit blasting and no paint, this is the price.
Done by a very good local blaster.
Prep to a carbon frame varies, and needs to be done by hand.. Because of the larger rounder tube shapes it’s not always necessary to remove all the existing paint. It’s possible to get away with just making sure the surface is smooth and flat. This could be anywhere from an hours work, to 2 or 3.
Removing all the paint from a carbon frame could be 5-6 hours. Or more. The most I’ll charge is £250 for a standard framesthough.
You can always do the prep yourself and I’ll finish off where needed.
Paint can chip. Unfortunately that’s just the reality of anything that’s been painted. Even with the thickest lacquer.
If you want some extra protection then we can fit RideWrap to any vulnerable areas. It’s nearly invisible, but does a great job of keeping paintwork intact. Comes in gloss or matte. And we can fit as much, or as little, as you want.
If your frames just been resprayed then re recommend waiting 2-3 weeks before fitting. Let things cure a bit before covering.
Flat price for a little kids bike. includes dismantling, spraying, and reassembly. Up to a 20" wheel and single speed.
I really don’t make any money on these, but they’re super fun to do.
Flat price for a medium kids bike. includes dismantling, spraying, and reassembly.
Up to a 24” wheel. And can have gears.
A bit more money as a bit more work involved
Flat price for a big kids bike. includes dismantling, spraying, and reassembly.
Up to a 26” wheel. And with gears. It does have to be for a kid though. No trying to sneak in a 26”er for an adult.
When needed we can colour match paint for your custom respray or for touchups to existing paint.
Simple or complicated. Lots of masking either way to deal with all the vents, so you’re looking at £225 upwards.
We don’t just deal with spraying. We can produce vinyl decals as well.
Great for wheels.
This was a respray to frame and fork, so £425 for that.
Paint was coloured matched 0.5 hours £37.50
Masking to gold bands and Kinesis logo 1.5 hours £112.50
Dismantling of bike £50
Single colour spray to frame & fork £425
Masking for stripes £150
Spraying for additional colours £75
Logo to downtube £90
Rebuild bike 2 hours £150
I’d really prefer that you came to collect you finished frame in person. I like to see people’s faces, and it avoids the risk of damage to the frame in transit.
However, if that‘s just not possible, and you do want it posted, that can be done. Please see the FAQ’s though for a bit more info on this.
Hopefully you’ll think that the above prices are competitive. They’re really just a guide so you can get an idea of how much your design will cost. Every project is obviously different though, and requires varying amounts of work. There are also guide prices on some of the photos in the gallery to help. We’ll agree the price for each job before booking it in, at which point we ask for a 10% deposit so we can order paint etc.
